I love food. I love food even more in good company. Last night E, K, C and I prepared an evening picnic under the Eiffel Tower to watch it light up, very touristy but I don't care. Between the 4 of us we gathered; cheeses, sausages, carrots, an apple, hummus, a baguette, green olives with feta, crackers and pretzel sticks, a bar of dark truffle chocolate, and two bottles of wine, one white one blush and cookies!
Our spread was delightful and the company was great, conversation flowed and wonderful stories were told. At 10pm the lights started to glow and then the Eiffel Tower sparkled! We hung around and enjoyed each others company for a bit longer and started back to our residences around 11pm.
This morning I went to the open air market down the street with M and A, two girls from my class and they are both staying at the same residence I am. I picked up a few things for dinner tonight, mostly bread, cheese, olives and......WATER. I am beginning to see a trend here in my food habits.
I almost came home with more scarves, how I was able to control myself I don't know.
Here are the photos from last night and this mornings trip to the market.
I am so enjoying your blog... and sea snails, YUM!
