you know, for $hits and Giggles.
A few days ago I went to Gard du Nord to purchase my rail ticket from Paris to Schipol, Netherlands for my departure; today I printed out my boarding passes to and from Sweden for when I visit S next week. I was so proud of myself, I was walking down the street with my head held high thinking, "I am so prepared, I have all my little ducks in a row, I am going to treat myself to lunch out." Earlier this morning while all of you were fast asleep in your beds, I shipped a fairly large box of things that I have acquired during my month long stay here in Paris; scarves, honey for R., magnets for my ever growing collection, and all the paperwork and books that were involved for my Paris class, it totaled 2 good size boxes and a tube of posters.
A few days ago, I also started to pack, get myself organized, separate trash from keep, and keep from shipping home.
I needed to pull out my passport and put it somewhere within reach during my France to Italy train ride in a few days and I put it in my carry-on backpack. I placed my newly printed out RyanAir boarding passes to Sweden in my carry-on backpack. I reached for my train ticket from Paris to Schipol to place them in my carry-on backpack and .....they were not where I left them.
ARG! They were not in my purse! They were not in my suitcase pocket in the front! They were not in my special folder for traveling! ARG!!
I took a deep breath....IIINNNNN and OOOUUUTTTT IIIINNNNN and OOOUUUTTT
SHIT!
I must have mailed it to myself with all that Paris paperwork! It is the only place it could be! Double SHIT! The train ticket was 100 euros and now I have to go all the way back to Gard du Nord and deal with all the Freakin(!) tourists!
As I am gathering my things up to go back to the metro, I decided to check one last place, you know, that special place you put things for safe keeping....important things like passports and train tickets....I had FOLDED (!) the tickets and tucked them in the back of my passport....
The tickets had been in my carry-on backpack the WHOLE TIME! LOL!
...I am going to lunch.
I will post about my adventures from yesterday later, along with the pictures that go with it.
